Laughing It Off

A new Army Captain was assigned to an outfit in a remote post in the African desert. During his first inspection of the outfit, he noticed a camel hitched up behind the mess tent. He asks the Sergeant why the camel is kept there.

The nervous sergeant said, "Well sir, as you know, there are 250 men here on the post, and no women. And sir, sometimes the men have 'urges'. That's why we have the camel."

The Captain says, "I can't say that I condone this, but I understand about urges, so the camel can stay."

About a month later, the Captain starts having his own urges. Crazy with passion, he asks the Sergeant to bring the camel to his tent. Putting a ladder behind the camel, the Captain stands on the ladder, pulls his pants down and has wild, insane sex with the camel.

When he's done, he asks the Sergeant, "Is that how the men do it?".

"No not really, sir...They usually just ride the camel into town where the girls are."

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper..!!

"Hello."

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.

"Yes," whispered the small voice.

"May I talk with him?"

The child whispered, "No."

Surprised, and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"Yes." the child whispered.

"May I talk with her?"

Again the small voice whispered, "No."

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman", came the whispered answer.

Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the earpiece on the phone the boss asked, "What is that noise?"

"A hello-copper" answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?" asked the boss, now alarmed.

In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper."

Alarmed, concerned, and even more than just a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"

Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle:

"Me!!"

  1. Hi Pradeep, thanks for stopping by my blog..The wonders of blogging can really couple people from all walks of life, huh? Well, I loved your jokes...really they made my chuckle! The hiding child made me laugh, I didn't expect that one coming! lol
As for DVC, I understand that many people rather not watch movies that pertain to books they've read due to the inability to portray a good read into 2 hours of film. Like I stated, I love watching movies and just want to go see what the hype is all about. I read the book, and I'm currently at the very beginning of A&D. A blogger suggested that book to me and yes, it seems VERY interesting!
Again, thanks for stopping by and I guess, a welcome back is in order? I hope you are well!

  6. Dear cupcake,
    Welcome to the Chasm. :)

Yes, I have certainly met some lovely and interesting people in blogspot.

Glad you enjoyed the jokes. :)

I can understand omitting things from the book owing to time constraints. I have nothing against that. But they also did so owing to community pressure - people who opposed its production calling it blasphemy. Those are the ones I cannot empathize with.

    Cheers, and keep visiting! :)

    Hahaha... Thank you so much.

You know Keshi, summer is almost ending here. Short spells of rain have just begun. You know how pleasant the climate gets after a drizzle? WOW! It is such a good feeling, always gets me in high spirits.

Wish you were here, sweetheart. We could sit by the window with a steaming cup of coffee, watching the drizzle and the rainbow. We could look into each others eyes, we could talk, we could...

Okay, you take it from there. Hahaha!

    Dear Navin,
    Thank you, my friend!
